FC Goa head into their 2016 Hero Indian Super League encounter against Atlético de Kolkata at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda needing a win to keep their slim semis hopes alive. The Gaurs head into the match on Thursday with 11 points from as many games and know that they must pick up maximum points from their remaining fixtures if they are to stand a chance of making the semis.Goa head coach Zico is well aware of his side's current predicament, and speaking to the media on Wednesday he made it clear that winning is the only way forward for his team. “Everyone is very conscious of the fact that we have three matches ahead and that we must win all three games. We did not want to be in this situation but now that we are here, we have to give our best,” Zico said. The Gaurs have never managed to beat Kolkata in their seven meetings so far with their clash against ATK earlier this season ending in a 1-1 draw. Commenting on Kolkata ahead of their second meeting this season, Zico said: “It is a very good team with great players, with a very good attack, and we have to play our best against them. We had a very good game against them in Kolkata where we created a lot of chances and we will try to repeat that in this game and not give them any chance for victory.”The 63-year-old Brazilian legend also offered a post-mortem of his team's below-par campaign that has seen them accumulate the least amount of points at this stage of the season. “In some games, we wasted so many chances to win the game and points, and even in the last game we had a clearly opportunity from which we could have won the game,” he said. When asked how he was planning on organising his defence ahead of the clash tomorrow given his side have already conceded 14 times this season, Zico said: “I think in the last game, we have been solid in defence and I hope in this game our defence will be tight again and I don't separate the team on basis of defence or attack as both need to help each other and I see the team as a whole.”Zico also informed that while Joffre - who scored against Kolkata the last time around - and Julio Cesar are fit to be involved in the game, the likes of Sanjay Balmuchu, Denzil Franco and Lucio will be unavailable for selection due to injury.
