Blasters thus dropped to the fifth position on the table, from second. It remains on 23 points from 14 matches.

Vukomanovic addressed the media after the game.

Here are some excerpts from his press conference:

Do you think lack of concentration was the reason behind the penalties?

Yeah, because in these moments, we must admit that it was a poor decision of our players especially in the last minute of the first half and the first minute of the second half. We can speak about lack of concentration, but these are the decision-making moments where players have to make those decisions. They have to need to stay focused, stay concentrated, and need to avoid committing these kinds of errors. But anyway this is one second during the game and it happens.

Does giving away three points to a direct rival feel like six points disadvantage?

No, I don't think so. Because there are still many games, till the end every team has to play lots of games, the format of Hero ISL is like that. So we're gonna continue till the last moment, and we’re gonna fight for the points.

If you have to pick one area which led to the result today. Would it be an individual mistake?

Well, when you commit penalties like that, it's always about the individual mistakes. We knew that it will be a very intimidating game against a very good opponent and we have to be very concentrated. So lack of concentration, that moment, you know, as a player, you face those moments, you need to be ready to play these kinds of games, So if you speak about those mistakes, you know, in football, it happens. Sadly, for us, it worked against us tonight, we lost the game because of that.

How do you plan to pick the team up for the remaining game?

Like always, you keep working and training. We need to keep preparing that's all because, in this kind of format, the good thing is the games are just coming especially now after Covid-19 and all these things. We all have these games every three-four days. So there's always the new game where we have to respond because sometimes it doesn't matter. You have to find the positive things in every defeat, you have to analyze certain things. And then again, the best thing sometimes it's not how you lose the game. It's how you respond to it afterward. So hopefully, we’re going find the strength and force to respond stronger in those games.
