Transfer wrap: Yasir joins FC Goa on loan, Sisodia signs for Mumbai City FC
FC Goa bolster their attack with the addition of Mohammad Yasir, who joins on a loan deal from Hyderabad FC, while Mumbai City FC add another young talent to their ranks.
Indian Super League (ISL) side FC Goa have signed Mohammad Yasir on a short-term loan deal from Hyderabad FC, the club announced on Saturday.

Yasir was part of the erstwhile FC Pune City team in the 2018-19 season before the owners changed base to Hyderabad FC just before the start of the 2019-20 season.
He made 91 appearances for Hyderabad FC, bagging six goals and four assists in three and a half years with the club so far.
His contributions also helped Hyderabad FC win the ISL Cup in the 2021-22 season.
FC Goa currently sit in second position in the league table with 24 points from 10 games. They have also started their Kalinga Super Cup campaign with a 3-1 victory over Inter Kashi FC.
Yasir's addition promises to be an important one in FC Goa's bid for top honours in all competitions this season.
His experience of working with current FC Goa head coach Manolo Marquez previously in Hyderabad FC will also be an added boost for the Men in Orange.
The 25 year-old played for FC Goa in the 2017-18 Super Cup and made one appearance for the club. He also played for the club's development side in the same year and scored on his debut against Madhya Bharat SC.
Yasir feels like his decision to sign for FC Goa has led him back to comfortable surroundings. He is looking to help the team as best as he can to win to win trophies this season.
“Coming to FC Goa feels like returning home. I’m excited that I’m back with some old friends and I feel quite at ease, it’s familiar. The happy memories from my previous stint here makes me look forward to making new ones this season,” he said.
“Working with Coach Manolo again is a fantastic opportunity. I understand his methods which bring out the best in me, and I am eager to contribute to FC Goa's success under his guidance,” he further said.
“For the season ahead with the club, my ambitions are high. I aim to contribute positively and help the team pursue glory. It's not just about personal success but also about contributing to the collective triumph of this team in the ISL and Kalinga Super Cup,” he added.
FC Goa head coach Manolo Marquez feels delighted with Yasir's acquisition by the club. He feels that Yasir can provide a great help to the team.
“Yasir is a player who knows what we want. I know he can be a good player for the second leg of the season,” he said.
“He has improved a lot in the last few years, and will help the team because his qualities are very good for our style of play,” he added.
Yasir made his senior national team debut against Oman in 2021 in a 1-1 draw. He bagged his first assist in the SAFF Championship final against Nepal in the same year.
Mumbai City FC sign young talent Ishaan Sisodia
Mumbai City FC have signed 18-year-old Ishaan Sisodia on a three and a half year contract which runs until the end of the 2026-27 season, the club announced on Saturday.

The Islanders sit in fourth position in the ISL table with with 22 points from 11 games. They have also started their Kalinga Super Cup campaign with a 2-1 victory against Gokulam Kerala FC.
Sisodia was born in Uttar Pradesh and raised in Ghaziabad. He went on to represent the U15 side of the erstwhile Delhi Dynamos FC and then the U18 side of Odisha FC when the owners shifted base.
Ishaan represented and captained India in the U19 age level at the 2023 SAFF U19 Championship in Nepal and led India to the title, beating Pakistan in the final. He also bagged two assists in three games for the Blue Tigers.
Sisodia feels privileged to sign for Mumbai City FC and wants to learn new things from his fellow Mumbai City FC players. He is looking forward to his stint with the Islanders.
“Mumbai City is one of, if not the biggest club in India, and I’m really excited to join them. The environment at Mumbai City is highly spoken of, especially for young players like myself,” he said.
“Being around and learning from the best players in the league will help me learn and get better and I want to make the most of this opportunity and show what I can do,” he further said.
“I can’t wait to start this new journey and help my new family achieve great things,” he added.
Mumbai City FC head coach Petr Kratky feels that Sisodia is a good addition to his side. He feels that Sisodia suits his side’s playing style.
“Ishaan is a talented, young footballer and has showcased the same in recent years, especially with India's junior national teams,” Kratky said.
“Ishaan's qualities and potential suit the style of football we want to play and we believe he can be a great fit in our considerably young squad,” he further said.
“We welcome Ishaan to the club and I look forward to working with him,” he added.
