Since joining NorthEast United FC in 2020, Gogoi has played 43 matches for the Highlanders across different competitions. He has been featured in six ISL games and four Durand Cup games under their Spanish head coach, Juan Pedro Benali.

Hailing from Assam’s Sivasagar district, Gogoi began his youth career with I-League side Shillong Lajong. Later, he joined Kerala Blasters FC’s U-18 side and was later promoted to their reserve side, leading them to their first-ever Kerala Premier League title in the 2019–20 season.

Parthib Gogoi penned a heartfelt message on his elder brother’s departure from NorthEast United FC. Significantly, both Gogoi brothers have played together for the Highlanders since the ISL 2022–23 season.

“Kaka (brother), thank you for being an amazing mentor to me. I’ve always looked up to you, and playing football with you has been a dream come true. I hope we’ll get the chance to play together soon,” Parthib shared on his brother’s departure.
