Transfer wrap: East Bengal FC rope in Felicio Brown, Siverio joins Jamshedpur FC
East Bengal FC and Jamshedpur FC strengthen their attacking line with the introduction of new foreigners to their squad.
Indian Super League (ISL) side East Bengal FC have acquired the services of Costa Rican forward Felicio Brown Forbes for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. The Costa Rica national team player was born in Germany and also represented Germany at the youth level (U-19 & U-20). He comes to the ISL from the Chinese Super League side Qingdao Hainiu FC.

Welcoming Felicio to the team head coach Carles Cuadrat said, “In Felicio we have a very strong striker with solid experience in European top leagues and also in Asian football, scoring more than 20 goals in the Chinese Super League. He just finished his season a few weeks ago in China, so he will come ready to help the team wherever we need him.”
Born in Berlin, Felicio rose through the youth ranks at Hertha Berlin and made his professional debut for the German club Carl Zeiss Jena in 2011. He also made his mark in Russia, representing top-flight Russian clubs such as Krylia Sovetov, FC Rostov and FC Amkar Perm. The forward also plied his trade in Poland with Ekstraklasa outfits Korona Kielce, Raków Częstochowa and Wisła Kraków before moving to the Chinese Super League to play for Wuhan Yangtze River FC and Qingdao Hainiu FC. The centre-forward comes to India having scored 19 goals in the past two seasons of the Chinese Super League.

Javier Siverio joins Jamshedpur FC on loan from East Bengal FC
Jamshedpur FC have roped in Spanish forward Javier Siverio on loan from East Bengal FC for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. The 26-year-old forward joins the Men of Steel after having established himself as one of the known faces among foreign contingents in recent seasons. The Spaniard recently triumphed in the Kalinga Super Cup 2024 with East Bengal FC and won the ISL with Hyderabad FC in 2021-22.

Upon completion of the signing, head coach Khalid Jamil said, "Acquiring Javier Siverio is a positive move. Siverio graduated from the UD Las Palmas Academy in 2015 and represented Spanish teams such as Las Palmas B, Racing Santander B, and Racing Santander before moving to Hyderabad ahead of the 2021-22 season. He has 20 goals to his name during his time in India across all competitions. Following two successful seasons with Hyderabad FC, Siverio moved to East Bengal FC for the 2023-24 season before joining Jamshedpur FC on loan.
Steve Ambri departs the Men of Steel
Jamshedpur FC announced on Thursday that they have parted ways with forward Steve Ambri. The 26-year-old joined the Men of Steel earlier in the season and featured in five ISL matches, scoring one goal.

Ambri played a crucial role in their Kalinga Super Cup campaign, helping the team reach the semi-finals. The forward scored against NorthEast United FC in their opening group-stage match. He was subbed off due to injury in the semi-final against East Bengal FC.
Niraj Kumar joins SC Bengaluru
The Indian Super League (ISL) side Odisha FC have announced that their goalkeeper, Niraj Kumar, has joined SC Bengaluru.
Niraj has completed his loan move to SC Bengaluru till the end of the season.

The custodian will spend the remainder of the 2023-24 season on loan with the I-League 2 side, SC Bengaluru. Kumar joined Odisha FC prior to the 2022-23 season after his impressive performance in the Durand Cup caught the eye of many.
