ATK Mohun Bagan defender Tiri has bid goodbye to the club after three years in Kolkata, the centre-back announced through his social media accounts on Wednesday.

The Spaniard who also previously played for ATK FC and Jamshedpur FC in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) featured 38 times for the Mariners since joining in 2020.

He established himself as one of the finest defenders in the league during his time with the club. However, injury forced him to sit out Hero ISL 2022-23 when ATK Mohun Bagan won the Hero ISL trophy.

The defender has now announced that he has decided to leave the club.

“Thanks @atkmohunbaganfc for these 3 years! Thanks to the fans for all your love towards me! I would have liked to say goodbye in a different way, but things happened quickly and in life, you have to make decisions and believe in new opportunities! I will miss you! Thank you,” he said in a post on his social handles.

Tiri was a key figure in the Mariners’ team that went all the way to the final in Hero ISL 2020-21 under Antonio Habas and continued to be at the heart of Juan Ferrando-led outfit too.

A Cadiz FC youth product, Tiri has made a real impression in Indian football and that will help him attract many suitors for the upcoming seasons.
