Cleiton Silva, the exciting new forward of East Bengal FC, is convinced that the preparations are going well in the camp despite the results but he expects the work in training to be reflect in games and places trust in what they do on the training ground.

Silva is determined to be a leader and says there is still time to fix things and feels experienced players do need the help of the younger ones.

Ahead of the match against his former club Bengaluru FC, he admired how good the individual qualities of the opposition were but also pointed out their weaknesses.

The Brazilian spoke to East Bengal FC in an exclusive chat as he looks to lead the line against his former side on Friday.

Given our present situation, what changes will we make in our preparations for the next match?

The preparations have been good. Even the results are coming very well but, we still have to improve in some points. Sometimes our behaviour in the game must be like the one in training, because in training the team does very well. We have to trust what we do in training and do well on the ground.

As a leader, what do you think are the positives of our camp?

We still have time to fix the things. We still have many young players who have not played many games in the Hero ISL. When they start to play more games, start to get more experience then you produce a little bit better. Even for the experienced players, we need their (young players) help at the moment.

What is your assessment of the Bengaluru FC team?

They have good and bad points like we do. Bengaluru FC have strong individual players, and maybe at the moment they also have weaknesses like we do. But, they are a good team, and we have to face them seriously because they also want to win the game. It is their (BFC’s) home game and the situation for them is not so well. We have to try to play hard, be brave like we did in the previous game.

You know most of the Bengaluru FC players well. What are your thoughts before facing them on Friday?

Like I said, they have some good individual players. They have Sunil Chhetri, they have Leon Augustine, and Roy Krishna, who is one of the top scorers in the league, so we need to think about them. But, first of all we need to think about the tactics in general and not only facing the players one vs one.

They have good players, we need to be positive to try and win the game because we really need the three points.
