Indian full-back Subhasish Bose has signed a five-year contract with ATK Mohun Bagan FC, the club announced on Thursday. The 24-year-old defender has played for Bengaluru FC as well as Mumbai City FC in the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) and reached the final of the 2017-18 season with the Blues.

“I am very excited to return to my hometown and embrace this new challenge. I am determined to bring success to ATK Mohun Bagan FC by giving everything to my team,” the defender said after penning his contract.

A graduate from the Pune FC academy, he joined Bengaluru after stints with Goa-based outfits Churchill Brothers FC and Sporting Clube de Goa. Playing in his first Hero ISL season, Subhasish made 18 appearances for the Blues as they lost to eventual champions Chennaiyin FC. After helping Bengaluru win the Hero Super Cup later that season, he moved to Mumbai City, where the Kolkata-born defender spent the last two seasons.

During his time with the Islanders, Subhasish made 34 appearances for the club, and was a mainstay in their run to the semi-final in the 2018-19 season. Defensively, he made 232 clearances, 112 tackles, 65 blocks and 46 interceptions for the Islanders in his two seasons at the club. Over the last three Hero ISL seasons, Subhasish has also scored one goal and assisted four others.
