Stars of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) are high on numerous clubs’ wish list with a flurry of transfer activity taking place behind the scenes. Competition to secure the services of the Hero ISL’s top players is heating up with Mohun Bagan becoming the latest to confirm the retention of Mumbai City FC’s Sony Norde. The Haitian winger, who helped the Kolkata giants win the Hero I-League last season, is expected to join the Mariners’ training session on Tuesday.Norde scored three goals and provided three assists for Mumbai City FC in Season 2 of the Hero ISL and promises to be a massive boost as Mohun Bagan look to retain the I-League trophy.FC Pune City’s marquee signing Adrian Mutu has also been on the move. The Stallions frontman, who netted four times for FC Pune City in Season 2, including two delightfully-taken free-kicks, has joined Romanian outfit ASA Târgu Mure as he bids to regain a berth in the Romanian national team ahead of Euro 2016.Mutu has represented Romania 77 times and is currently their joint all-time top-scorer with 35 goals along with Romanian great Gheorghe Hagi.Elsewhere, NorthEast United FC’s top-scorer from the second season of the Hero ISL, Nicolas Velez has joined Croatian club Hajduk Split as they look for their first league title in over 11 years. Velez, who scored five goals for the Highlanders and almost guided them to the semi-finals in Hero ISL 2015 with stellar performances, promises to be a prudent acquisition by the Croatian club who confirmed the capture of the 25 year-old on Monday.
