Click here to view RF Young Champs Final Selection Camp Day 1 photo gallery The Reliance Foundation Young Champs Final Selection Camp began on Monday as 158 participants from all across the country gathered at Beverly Park, Navi Mumbai to have a shot at the prestigious RFYC scholarship. Out of the 158 participants – 25 are from Mumbai City FC, 24 from Delhi Dynamos FC, 23 from NorthEast United FC, 21 from Kerala Blasters FC, 19 from Atlético de Kolkata, 16 from FC Goa, 18 from Chennaiyin FC and 12 from FC Pune City.Following their arrival at Beverly Park, the talented youngsters completed the registration process where they were assigned specific numbers for their jerseys, after which they were guided to their rooms, their base for the duration of their stay. This was followed by lunch and orientations, which the youngsters attended in separate batches based on which grassroots festival they were selected from.Now that all 158 aspiring young champs are under the same roof, the action is set to commence from Tuesday as the gifted young talents get ready to step onto the pitch in the hope of becoming one of the seventeen players to be chosen for the second batch of the Reliance Foundation Young Champs.Technical director of grassroots Piet Hubers had some advice for all youngsters. “My advice is train and play, train and play, train and play every day. So that’s the most important thing. Not only if you’re playing football but also if you’re a dancer or playing the piano. Just practice, practice every day,” Hubers said.The final selection camp concludes on May 8.
