Helder Postiga was delighted to have played his part in Atlético de Kolkata's 2-1 win in their 2016 Hero Indian Super League encounter against NorthEast United FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Guwahati on Friday. The ATK marquee man returned after an injury-forced absence of four matches and scored his first goal of the season through a delightful header to script a comeback win for his team. With their third win this season, ATK also moved to the top of the league with 12 points from seven matches. Speaking to media after the game, Postiga said: “Firstly, I am so happy for the team winning and getting the three points, and personally the last two weeks were difficult for me as I was out due to injury but now I can play and I helped the team by scoring and now we are top of the table.”The former Portugal striker came on as a second-half substitute and the change breathed life into the ATK team. “First we played against a good team and it was difficult in the first half and then in the second half the coach made some changes and the team played better and scored two goals, and I think the team played very well in the second half,” Postiga said. The other ATK goal also from came from a striker, Juan Belencoso. Postiga was happy that the ATK strikers were at last coming good. “The strikers or forwards should lead the goals and it was an important moment for me and Belencoso as it is good for our confidence but the most important thing is the team, as the team is top of the table right now and I am happy for that and we look to qualify for the semis.”ATK now play FC Pune City in Balewadi on November 6 and Postiga will be up against Stallions head coach Antonio Habas, who coached the Portuguese last season at ATK. Pune City are going into the match on the back of three successive draws and when asked how he and ATK were planning to breach Pune's defence, Postiga said: “I hope the injury is completely healed. I have been training for the last two days but now I have a week to prepare for Pune and the most important thing is to rest well and then put in a good effort in training and it is going to be a good game.“I think not only Pune but there are many teams with draws this season and this league is very competitive and Pune is a good team and I know how Antonio thinks but it is a tough game for us.”
