Bengaluru FC climbed to the seventh spot with this thumping win. On the other hand, Mumbai City FC remained second with 17 points.

Head coach Marco Pezzaiuoli addressed the media after the match.

Here are excerpts from his post-match press conference:

What do you think went right tonight? How do you see this result going forward for the next matches as well?

Well first of all I'd like to compliment the team. Very good work, I think we could have scored more goals, especially in the first half. We created a lot of chances before half-time to go at least four or five goals in front. Today, lot of goals for us and happy to keep a clean sheet as well. And the other important things this was 90 minutes high pressing and high intensive game. We were aware that the opponent could do the same.

We've seen Mumbai City FC not having good results in the last four matches. Do you think you capitalised on the mistakes they have made in those four matches?

No, I don't think so. Normally, I don't talk about the opponent because we gave them the trouble. We invest a lot against them, a very high intensive high-speed game. It was too difficult for them to build up. They want to play football as well and we gave them tough time on the field and that's why it was a good game.

Now you have 13 points, just four points away from the top spot. Do you think it's the right time to have your hopes to make a comeback?

It’s okay if we don't come back again. We played well. We didn't have the points in the beginning. But the important part is we have to prepare for the next game against ATK Mohun Bagan. The next game is again a difficult game, the same high pressing team. They have a new coach, new style and I think let's enjoy tonight, recover good and face the next game.

Three assist in the season, he’s good with the set pieces. A word on Roshan Singh.

He’s a both-feet player. You can him play right and left defender. That’s what we know already in the pre-season. I decided today to have him in the back, we decided to attack from the backside. I wanted one striker more and so we can play attacking football. His role was very important today.
