Karelis joined the Islanders at the start of the 2024-25 season and enjoyed a brilliant debut campaign, leading MCFC’s forward line by example.
The Greek striker ended the campaign as the club’s top scorer, netting 10 goals — a tally that placed him joint-fifth in the ISL 2024-25 season's overall goalscoring charts. In 19 appearances, Karelis was not only a consistent goal threat but also played a creative role, setting up 12 chances for his teammates.
Full-back Sahil Panwar, who joined Mumbai City FC in 2024 from Odisha FC, is set to leave the club. In the absence of Akash Mishra, he played a key role at left-back, rotating responsibilities with Nathan Rodrigues over the course of the season.
Panwar won 32 duels and 14 tackles, while also completing 24 recoveries during the 2024-25 season. He created five chances, averaged 22 passes per game, and maintained an 83% passing accuracy.
