Kerala Blasters FC forward and Hero Indian Super League finalist Michael Chopra has been signed by Scottish Championship side Alloa Athletic.Chopra made nine appearances for Kerala in the ISL, including the final against Atlético de Kolkata. The Englishman made his professional debut for Newcastle United in the English Premier League in 2000. He is the first player of Indian parentage to play and score in the English Premier League. Following Newcastle, Chopra played for clubs such as Watford, Nottingham Forest, Barnsley, Cardiff City, Sunderland, Ispwich Town and Blackpool as he became a regular goal scorer in Europe.Alloa Athletic operate in the second tier of the Scottish Professional Football League known as the Scottish Championship.
