Marco Materazzi wasn't very pleased after Chennaiyin FC drew 1-1 with FC Pune City at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Balewadi on Sunday. The Super Machans took the lead in the 28th minute and were on course for their third win on the bounce when Anibal Rodriguez scored in the 82nd minute to rescue a point for the Stallions. The former FIFA World Cup winner with Italy labelled his side's performance on the night a 'good' one but was critical of some school-boy errors by his team in the lead up to Anibal's goal. “I am happy with 1-0 [not with 1-1]. That's why I am upset because we threw away two points. But overall, we have had a good performance. What happened [today] is that we made three or four stupid fouls that not even kids would have made,” Materazzi told the media on Sunday.Materazzi was also keen on pointing out how Pune's opportunities came mostly from set-plays. “The way I see it, they had no shots on goal from open play. They only had two shots on goal from set-pieces. They never had any chances apart from set-pieces,” he said. When asked if fatigue had played a part given his side were in action against NorthEast United FC in Guwahati just three days back, Materazzi replied in the negative. “No, I don't think that was a crucial factor. [Siam] Hanghal played well in Guwahati and then played very well today as well. He is only 20 years old. Those who I felt were tired, I took them off. I don't want to discuss the schedule but one thing I'm sure of is that the team with the least number of injuries will have a big advantage in the long run,” he said.
