But there was more reason to cheer for the Red Miners who became the most successful team in the league stage of a Hero ISL season by taking their tally to 43 points, the most achieved by any team at the end of the league phase of a Hero ISL season.
Owen Coyle’s men beat the previous record of 40 points set first by Bengaluru FC in 2017-18 season and Mumbai City FC in the 2020-21 season.

However, in terms of points per game, Jamshedpur FC are third in the overall charts only behind Bengaluru FC (2017-18) who returned 2.22 points per match and FC Goa (2019-20) who had a tally of 2.16 points per match.

Jamshedpur FC will however look to become just the second team in Hero ISL history to win the League Winners’ Shield and the Hero ISL trophy in the same season after Mumbai City FC achieved the feat last campaign.
