Jamil reflects on Jamshedpur FC’s battling draw with Kerala Blasters FC

Jamshedpur FC head coach Khalid Jamil shared his pleasure as the Men of Steel came from behind to salvage a point against Kerala Blasters FC in the Indian Super League (ISL) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Saturday.
The game showcased intense action from both teams, characterized by aggressive attacks and impressive playmaking. Kerala Blasters FC initially took the lead in the first half with a solo goal from Korou Singh, maintaining their advantage until halftime.

In the second half, Jamshedpur FC capitalized on defensive errors by the Blasters, resulting in an own goal by Milos Drincic that levelled the score. This moment shifted the momentum of the match, eventually leading to a 1-1 draw.
However, the draw also confirmed that the Men of Steel can no longer catch FC Goa, who sit seven points ahead with only two games remaining.
After the match, Jamil emphasized the importance of securing a point on the road and recognized the efforts of both teams.
“Yes, talking about the game, we got one point. They also played well, and they also went very hard. It was an away game, so we came back in the second half. That was good. We got one point. That was also good,” he said during the post-match press conference.
He acknowledged the need for Jamshedpur FC to maintain a positive mindset as they approach their remaining matches, highlighting the urgency of improving in their upcoming home game and striving for better results before they prepare for the playoffs.
"Yes, we have less time. We must bounce back again. The last game we will be playing at our home ground. We must do well and think about positive results,” he said as he concluded.
