Odisha FC head coach Sergio Lobera voiced his disappointment after being held to a goalless draw by bottom-placed Mohammedan SC at the Kalinga Stadium on Friday.

The Kalinga Warriors were without the services of Mourtada Fall and Hugo Boumous, both of whom were serving suspensions. However, Diego Mauricio's return from injury rekindled their hopes. Mohammedan SC, though, showed great resilience from the start and showed more hunger than Odisha FC.

The visitors created most of the chances and looked the better side. Had they been more clinical, it could have been an even tougher night for Lobera’s men.

“I don’t think we played well today. Finally, we didn't get possession of the ball, we didn't dominate the game. We gave the opponent too many chances against us,” Lobera said at the post-match press conference.

Odisha FC have now lost more ground after dropping two vital points tonight. They remain two points behind but have just one game left.

They must now beat Jamshedpur FC in their final game and hope that NorthEast United FC don’t collect any more points or that Mumbai City FC collect no more than one point in their remaining three games.

“It was a difficult game, and it is very disappointing for us to be playing in front of all our supporters like this and practically losing the chance to get to the playoffs. It’s so difficult now (to qualify for the playoffs),” he stated.
