Mumbai City FC have announced the signing of 23-year-old midfielder Bipin Singh from ATK. The Manipur-born youngster has signed for the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) side on a two-year contract.

Singh made his professional debut with Shillong Lajong in 2012. The midfielder spent five seasons with the Hero I-League club before making the switch to ATK for the 2017-18 season of the Hero ISL. Under the then head coach Teddy Sheringham, Singh established himself as a regular in the squad making a total of 12 appearances throughout the campaign, while also notching up two goals and one assist. Known for his ingenuity from the dead-ball situation, Singh also scored one of the best goals of the previous season – via a spectacular free-kick much to the delight of ATK fans – in an encounter against FC Pune City.

Mumbai City FC will be hoping their latest recruit will be able to maintain his creative ability and goal-scoring prowess for the upcoming Hero ISL season. The Islanders have bolstered their squad with a host of signings in this transfer window including Subhasish Bose, Souvik Chakrabarti, Shouvik Ghosh and Alen Deory. With the addition of Bipin Singh, Mumbai possess a strong Indian contingent and will no doubt pose a challenge to the opposing teams when the new season gets underway.
