ISL 2024-25: NorthEast United FC fixtures
The Durand Cup champions, who came close to qualifying for the playoffs last season, have a tough run of opening fixtures.
Buoyed by their Durand Cup triumph, NorthEast United FC enter the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season with renewed confidence. The Highlanders will begin their campaign with an away fixture against newly-promoted Mohammedan Sporting Club, setting the stage for a challenging series of early matches.
A significant test awaits in Matchweek 2, where they will meet Mohun Bagan Super Giant at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, a rematch of the Durand Cup final. Out of their first five fixtures, only two will be played at their home ground, Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati. They will face Kerala Blasters and Chennaiyin FC at home — both teams having reached the playoffs last season.
November presents a particularly demanding period, as Juan Pedro Benali's side will play four matches, with three of them on the road. The Highlanders will wrap up the year with a tough away game against Mumbai City FC, the defending ISL Cup winners.
