The fixtures for the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 have been announced and there is a palpable rise in the excitement levels of the fans that are growing eager by the minute to see their teams back in action after the summer break. 

New signings of all the teams will be on show for the first time as will be the coaches who will be making their debut in the ISL. There will be a fresh start that will give all teams equal opportunity to fight for their goals keeping the fans on the edge of their seats. 

ISL will see a new team, Mohammedan Sporting Club join the fray from the 2024-25 season making it a 13-team affair. For the first time, ISL will see three teams from one city with Mohammedan SC, Mohun Bagan SG and East Bengal FC representing Kolkata in the ISL.

When is the first Kolkata derby of the season?

The first Kolkata derby of ISL 2024-25 will be played on October 19, 2024 at 7:30 PM IST at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium).

What are the dates for the mini Kolkata derbies?

The derbies featuring Mohammedan SC and Mohun Bagan SG and Mohammedan SC and East Bengal FC are popularly known as mini Kolkata derbies in the city. 

The first mini Kolkata derby of the season between Mohun Bagan SG and Mohammedan SC will be played on October 5, 2024 at 7:30 PM IST and will be played at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium).

The second derby between East Bengal FC and Mohammedan SC will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 7:30 PM IST at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium).
