Former League Shield winners FC Goa were back among the top teams in the Indian Super League (ISL) last season as they reached the semi-finals of the league after a two-year absence.

Under new head coach Manolo Marquez, the Gaurs had a terrific start to the 2023-24 season but couldn’t keep pace in the latter half to finish the season in third place. With additions like Iker Guarrotxena, Armando Sadiku, Aakash Sangwan and Laxmikanth Kattimani, FC Goa will look to close the gap at the top end of the table and compete for both the Shield and the Cup this season.
