Chennaiyin FC have brought to the fore a new identity, a completely different footballing philosophy, and fresh faces under the realm of new head coach Thomas Brdaric, as the German aims to bring his side back to the glory days.
The two-time Hero Indian Super League (ISL) champions had a difficult season in the 2021-22 as well as the 2020-21 campaign as the side finished outside of the top four, in the eighth position in both the seasons.
Leaving the previous seasons behind them, the Marina Machans are looking for a fresh start under Brdaric and are already adapting to the methods set by their new head coach. With fans back in the stands, the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai is ready to roar and welcome the likes of Kwame Karikari, Petar Sliskovic, Fallou Diagne, Vafa Hakhamaneshi, Julius Duker, Alexander Jesuraj amongst others.
