Odisha FC’s Hero ISL 2021-22 season didn’t go as per their expectations as the side went through a managerial change midway through the campaign followed by a finish in the seventh position with 23 points in 20 games in the league standings.
The club have gone in with a fresh strategy for the upcoming season after bringing back manager Josep Gombau, who returns for a second spell as the head coach of the Bhubaneshwar-based side.
Under the helm of Gombau, the side have made some smart moves in the transfer market and have acquired key foreign players such as Pedro Martin, Saul Crespo, and renowned domestic names in Raynier Fernandes, Nikhil Prabhu and others.
Having revamped the home turf of OFC - the Kalinga Stadium, the side will be looking forward to the support of their fans in huge numbers in home games, which will serve them as a salient asset throughout the season.
