FC Goa head coach Juan Ferrando was pleased with his side’s attitude after coming from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Hyderabad FC in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) encounter at the Athletic stadium in Bambolim, Goa on Saturday.

The Gaurs who are now unbeaten in three matches had their moments during the match but a share of spoils was probably a fair result.

Coach Ferrando urged his team to focus on their next game as they come thick and fast and not look at the points table where FC Goa currently sit in the seventh spot.

Ferrando spoke to the media after the match and here are the excerpts from his post-match press conference.

Do you think it was a fair result?

When FC Goa don't win, of course I don't like it. Our target is to get three points every game.

Your team dominated most statistics but what more could the team have done to win the match?

The stats are just individual details. For me it's more important if the team and the players are more comfortable on the pitch. They understand our plan and they work as per our plan and trust it. But whether we have success or not depends on the control of the technical decisions. But I'm happy that even after going 0-1 down we continued to work with the same plan.

You are slowly rising up the table. Does the teams around you failing help your cause more?

Our target is the next game. It's against Odisha FC next Friday and the most important thing is to be ready for the next game. This is more important than thinking about the table because our mentality now is just to get three points in the next match.
