Atlético de Kolkata coach Antonio Lopez Habas is undeterred by two successive Hero Indian Super League losses and ahead of Kolkata’s next game against Delhi Dynamos FC at the Salt Lake Stadium on Thursday he said that despite their average start, the defending champions could still turn around their season.“New game and another three points to play for. I’d prefer to talk about what is crucial or not [only] after nine more games. The situation now is that the team have lost two games but last season, I remember we lost three or four games but still managed to win the league. We have to be calm and progress every day, game by game,” Habas, whose team has seven points from five matches, told reporters on Friday.“In football, win, lose or draw is part of the game. I’m not worried about this situation. My team has no attitude, behaviour issue. Tactical discipline is the principle target for me.”Delhi, on the other hand, picked up three straight wins sandwiched between two losses. The Roberto Carlos-led side has dominated possession in most matches, and Habas was eyeing beating the visitors at their own game.“I think that they tend to have more possession and maybe we don’t dominate in that aspect but I also think we can be a protagonist…because we have had better spells under possession and maybe more quality in the midfield department. We had to win last season, we have to win this season and maybe, we have to win again next season,” he said.ATK have not been at their scoring best so far, manifested by just six goals in five matches. Habas wasn’t worried about that. “I would have been worried, had the team failed to create opportunities but last game we created chances even though we lost,” he said.In the absence of injured marquee player Helder Postiga who is likely to re-join the team next week, Iain Hume has been Kolkata’s go-to man. He hasn’t scored yet but there have been three assists from him. On his current role, Hume said: “First of all, it’s hard to replace Postiga. He is a good footballer and his record is for everyone to see. Playing alongside someone like him makes the job an awful lot easier but when Helder got injured, we brought in Arata [Izumi], who stepped up and scored. I am just happy to be a part of the team. I am trying to score, it’s not that I am not trying to score but I am equally happy playing as the main striker or as the number two.“We are getting chances and we could have been up by two or three goals any other day. Like every other team in the league, we have got injuries of our own but we have a good squad and we are working hard to keep the coach’s mentality and plans going forward.”
