Winless Delhi Dynamos FC host Mumbai City FC in their 10th match of the season at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Monday. The Lions have endured a torrid start to their Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 campaign, picking up just four points and are currently languishing at the bottom of the table. In the reverse fixture back in October, the Islanders ran out as comfortable 2-0 winners over the Lions.

At the pre-match press conference a day before the match, Delhi head coach Josep Gombau seemed confident of picking up their first victory of the season despite their poor record in this campaign. "Tomorrow is a very important game. It is game no 10. We don’t have a win yet. We are working very hard to try and win this game. Mumbai is a very good opposition. We were playing well in the last few games, but we are not getting the results. I think tomorrow we will play a good game and we will win," he said.

The Spaniard continued on the same note, citing the impressive performance against Bengaluru FC in their last match as a hopeful reminder of his team's quality. "We played a good game. We had a lot of chances, but we missed. Tomorrow the team is confident because we are playing well," he stated.

When asked about the form of his goalkeepers, Gombau admitted that he was extremely satisfied with both Albino Gomes and Francisco Dorronsoro but refused to shed light on his choice for the match against Mumbai. "I think Albino Gomes had a good game against Bengaluru. We are very happy with him. We are also happy with Francisco. So, we will see. Every game is different. It is something that we will discuss today with all the coaching staff and we will decide tomorrow," he revealed.

Delhi’s major issue this season has been their poor finishing. However, Gombau pointed out that he has been working with his team to address the issue and said, "Yes we have been working a lot on finishing during our training sessions in the last two-three weeks. We are not doing well in that aspect."
