Manager Franco Colomba (L) and David Trezeguet are greeted by kids on arrival.The FC Pune City squad returned home this evening to an ecstatic welcome after a week-long training camp in Florence. They were received at the Lohegaon airport by the members of St. Vincent High School's champion football team. A traditional band was at hand to provide a musical dimension to the occasion and the players and officials were garlanded by the young footballers during a short welcome ceremony. World Cup-winning forward David Trezeguet, the team's marquee international player, was present along with coach Franco Colomba, midfield maestro Lenny Rodrigues, and the rest of the FC Pune City squad.The former France international striker Trezeguet was the cynosure of all eyes and was mobbed by fans in the arrival hall, looking delighted and moved by the enthusiastic welcome.The team had trained at ACF Fiorentina’s home ground Stadio Artemio Franchi under the watchful eye of Colomba and other Italian officials. They played a friendly against Fiorentina Primavera (the Italian club's youth team) during their stint in Florence. FC Pune City have a tie-up with the Italian club for their venture in the Hero Indian Super League which begins next month.Among the other international players in the FC Pune City squad are defender Bruno Cirillo, midfielder Omar Martinez, winger Davide Colomba, and forward Ivan Palacios.
