NorthEast United FC’s hopes of securing a semis berth in the 2015 Hero Indian Super League suffered a massive blow following their 2-1 loss against Delhi Dynamos FC at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Guwahati on Saturday. The defeat means that the Highlanders must win their last fixture of the league stage against FC Pune City and hope that other results also go their way. Head coach Cesar Farias spoke to reporters after the defeat on Saturday and reflected on the result.“Our duty in the game was to win because we were the home team, we went for the points. It was a good game played by both teams and we're not taking anything away from the opponents,” Farias said.“The first goal was a bit unfortunate for us. We had our chance to clear the ball but the rebound was very unfortunate. But we got back into the match and made it 1-1. We're sad because it was an unfortunate result for us.”Looking ahead to their last match of the league stage against the Stallions on Wednesday, Farias maintained that they would approach the game in the same way as they had approached all their previous encounters this season. “First we need to get over this defeat, a loss in the 88th minute is a tough one to swallow. Of course, we are going to go into the game with winning intentions as we did with this one, we made all attacking substitutions to win the game. We'll see the results of the other games too and play accordingly in the next match.”
