Durand Cup 2025: East Bengal FC thump Indian Air Force
The Red and Gold put six past the Indian Air Force to finish the group phase with three wins from their three games.

Indian Super League (ISL) side East Bengal FC continued their winning run in the Durand Cup with a convincing 6-1 victory over the Indian Air Force.
The Red and Gold Brigade were on the front foot from the start and dominated throughout to secure a commanding win at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan on Sunday.
East Bengal FC took no time to get their hands on the Army side. They started strong and had two real goal-scoring opportunities inside the opening two minutes, but the Indian Air Force keeper kept it alive. However, they didn't have to wait long, as Hamid Ahadad put them ahead in the 7th minute by heading in a neat cross from Edmund Lalrindika.
East Bengal FC continued applying pressure and got their second goal in the 25th minute. Captain Naorem Mahesh Singh played a fine through ball to Bipin Singh, who dodged past the keeper to find the back of the net.
Indian Air Force pulled one back in the 37th minute through Aman, as the two teams went into the locker room with a 2-1 scoreline in favour of East Bengal FC.
