SC East Bengal head coach Jose Manuel Diaz expressed displeasure with the short turnaround time between two consecutive games ahead of their Hero Indian Super League (ISL) encounter against FC Goa at the Tilak Maidan stadium in Vasco, Goa on Tuesday.

The Red and Gold brigade lost two of their opening four matches and shared the spoils in the remaining ones, as they are placed in the 10th spot, with two points in their kitty.

Diaz addressed the media ahead of the match against FC Goa and here are the excerpts from his press conference.

You are shuffling every game, are you still in search for your strongest 11?

We are going to play official matches every three days and we must do a rotation. We cannot play the same players for so many matches in a row. The humidity here in FC Goa is high and it is hard for players to play every match.

What is the status of Jackichand Singh?

He’s improving but is still injured. We don't know the exact day when he can start playing with the team.

The team showed great character in the second half of the match against Chennaiyin FC. Is that your ideal starting XI?

No, everybody in the squad is going to get a chance. In the last official match, in the second half, we were better than the first half, but the whole squad is very important for us.

FC Goa have lost all of their three matches so far, is that an advantage? How confident are you of beating FC Goa?

Every match is important for winning. FC Goa is a very good team. They can play well every year.

SC East Bengal kept a clean sheet against Chennaiyin FC, is the defence playing better as a group now?

In the Odisha FC match, we conceded six goals. But, we kept it nil against Chennaiyin FC, and it is important to build on that for the future, mainly for gaining confidence.
