Delhi Dynamos FC, on Tuesday, announced Argentine midfielder Martin Perez Guedes as their latest foreign recruit for the upcoming season. The 27-year-old is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also operate on the left-hand side of the midfield.

Guedes began his professional career with Buenos Aires-based Club Atletico Huracan back in 2009 and spent two seasons with the Argentine third-division club. In 2011, he moved to Argentine Primera Division side Olimpio and had an impressive season with them, drawing interest from 16-time domestic champions and former Copa Libertadores winners Racing Club.

His time with Racing, however, wasn't quite as fruitful and after just one season with them, Guedes was loaned out to his former side Olimpio. Several other loan spells followed for the midfielder in the following years. Having spent his entire career in his home country, this will be Guedes' first venture abroad.

To recall, Delhi completed deals for Senegalese defensive midfielder Diawandou Diagne and former Bengaluru FC winger Xisco Hernandez last month. The Lions have also handed Marcos Tebar a contract extension, making Guedes the fourth foreigner in the squad for the upcoming season.
