Delhi Dynamos FC marquee player-cum-coach Roberto Carlos has his eyes set on the team’s next Hero Indian Super League Season 2 encounter against hosts FC Pune City at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium on Wednesday. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Carlos said a win will put them in third and achieving that was important for his team.“Our goal tomorrow is to make them play harder. They have good players, but if my team wins tomorrow we are going to stay in the top three. This is the most important thing. I know the difficulties I will face here but my team is also very strong after our last win against Chennai.”Delhi started their campaign with a defeat against FC Goa but bounced back in their next match against last year’s semifinalists Chennaiyin FC. Carlos said he was trying to inculcate a winning mentality into his players through thick and thin. “First of all I am trying to show them and teach them the winning mentality that I have since I have started playing. When you win, a lot of times you don’t see your mistakes. But for example in our loss against Goa, we saw our mistakes and we are improving. My team have goals. To be in the top four and then two and then finally become the champions. That is our goal.”Carlos also informed that his finger injury wasn’t a hindrance to his playing and that there was no need for him to play against Chennai in the last match. “The injury in my finger is not a problem. I believe in not changing teams that are winning. We were winning against Chennai so I did not have to go in. Against Goa I saw that they needed my help so I had to get on to organize things. I could not change the result tomorrow unfortunately. But tomorrow, I hope to play, yes. I also hope that my team wins.”When asked whether league leaders Pune deserved respect, Carlos replied in the affirmative. “Yes, they do. The first thing I said here is that they are a great team and that’s why they have six points. Statistically speaking, it shows that they didn’t dominate both games but they are the leaders, are they not? Of course they are good. Actually, respect is for all teams. Football is like a circle. All the ISL teams deserve to be champions. We have great teams here,” he said.
