Delhi Dynamos FC marquee player-cum-coach Roberto Carlos has his eyes set on overtaking table-toppers FC Pune City when they play Mumbai City FC in the 2015 Hero Indian Super League on Friday. Pune lead the table with 13 points from eight matches and Carlos, whose team has 13 points from seven matches and only behind Pune on goal difference, senses a great opportunity for the Lions to go top of the table at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.“It’s [Mumbai] a good team. But our goal is to go ahead of Pune. It’s very important for us to win tomorrow so that we can top the table. But Mumbai is a great team,” Carlos told reporters on Thursday. The last time these two teams met, Mumbai came out on top with a 2-0 win. When asked what his lessons were from that defeat at the DY Patil Stadium last month, the Brazilian said: “You can’t underestimate teams and also the ISL is very competitive. So we have to be extra careful when we play tomorrow.”Hans Mulder, whose has been very effective in the midfield for the Dynamos this season, shed further light as to what went wrong in Navi Mumbai, saying the team had concentration problems that day.Mulder also played down a suggestion that his team could suffer against Mumbai on account of little rest since their last game was only a couple of days ago. ‘It’s not an excuse. We won’t think about the rest because the motivation is that if we win tomorrow, we will be the leaders,” he said.Delhi have scored the least number of goals (six) among all eight teams but Carlos wasn’t worried by that. “The goals will come…I’m not going to pressure my players. They will score when the opportunity comes. We are in the top half of the table. It’s more than enough. Maybe tomorrow my strikers wake up lucky and score two each,” the Brazilian said.
