The former Motherwell FC star embarked on his ISL journey by scoring on his ISL debut against Kerala Blasters FC. But the Englishman could not carry forward this form as he did not put his name on the scoresheet for the next six matches. Main’s second ISL goal came against Punjab FC at home, where the Blues played out a 3-3 draw.
The 31-year-old has vast experience of playing in both England and Scotland and is known for his physicality and work rate. The Darlington graduate has attempted 10 shots so far this season, and he has managed to keep six of them on target.
Having played with India captain Sunil Chhetri and Ryan Williams in the upfront, Main could not meet the expectations of the Blues as he failed to maintain consistency in finding the back of the net. He has been featured in only three starting line-ups for Bengaluru FC so far this season.
