Mumbai City FC marquee player-cum-coach Nicolas Anelka wants his team to move on from the 7-0 drubbing they received at the hands FC Goa earlier this week with a win against NorthEast United in their Hero Indian Super League Season 2 encounter at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Friday.“I look at this as a good opportunity for us because we do not have to think too much about that game. So now we have to concentrate on the next game. We will be only good if we come back with a good result, if we don’t then it’s going to be even worse. But yes, it’s good to play straight away. We have to forget that we have lost and try to think about the game against NorthEast. Tomorrow’s game will be a good one if we can get something from it. If not, I don’t know what will happen,” Anelka told reporters on Thursday.Mumbai are precariously placed in the table as regards their semi-final chances. With 12 points from 10 matches, they desperately need to win just as their opponents NorthEast who have 13 points from 10 matches. “You have to be clever. It’s a tough game…It’s going to be an open game but at the same time we have to be clever. The game is almost 95 minutes, we’ll see how it’s going to be. From my side I think we’ll try and play the same way. Nothing special, my players know how to play and what to do,” the former France international said.“What is difficult in our team is as soon as we concede a goal it’s like a game lost for us. We need to show our character tomorrow, we need to show we are capable to come back even if we concede a goal. Tomorrow is a good opportunity for us to show that we are capable of reaching our target,” he added.Anelka also said there was now no time left to try out different combinations and strategies. “Like I said before, I tried to do a lot of things on the pitch before. But I have the players who can only play one tactic. I tried something new against Goa and in the second half we conceded five goals, I tried [something new] against ATK in the second half, conceded three goals. I tried in the pre-season as well and we lost 3-0 even then. So now it’s not the time to try and find a new tactic, it’s a time when we stick to plan and stick to what we are capable of doing. We know how to do it but right now it’s not working, so I will try the same and hopefully one day it will work. To try to find a new tactic is not a good idea right now.”
