FC Goa resume their Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19 campaign after the long winter break with a crunch tie against Jamshedpur FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa on Monday. With only one point between them and both teams very much in the contention for a top four spot, the result of the match may have a big impact of the race for the top four.

Ahead of the match, indiansuperleague.com caught up with Gaurs' new foreign recruit Zaid Krouch for an exclusive interview. Here are the excerpts.

What brought you to the Hero ISL?

I played under (Sergio) Lobera in Morocco for four years and he has confidence in me and I’m here because I love his work and how he works. I have friends and companions from Morocco here too and I’m so excited to be here in India and to play in the Hero ISL with (Sergio) Lobera and my friends.

How well have you adjusted to the new country?

Good. The people of Goa are so good and everybody is so friendly. I thank all of them for being friendly and I’m very happy with them.

Thoughts on the match against Jamshedpur FC.

I think we can win this match and give the three points to our fans.

Any message for the FC Goa fans?

I want to thank everyone here in India for the warm welcome and the people here are so friendly and I love it. Thank you so much.
