Kerala Blasters FC will face off against FC Pune city in their next Hero Indian Super League encounter at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Pune this Friday. The South Indian outfit will be hoping to take advantage of 10th placed Pune’s poor form this season by registering their second victory of their campaign.

Ahead of their encounter against the Stallions, Slavisla Stojanovic, Kerala’s lethal forward spoke exclusively to indiansuperleague.com on his journey so far in the Hero ISL, his Serbian team-mates and his thoughts on opponents Pune. Here are the excerpts:

Tell us about your experience in Indian football so far.

Yes, I’ve been here three months, my first season in the Hero ISL and I enjoy on the field and I enjoy in front of our fans, the football is better than I’d expected in India and I really enjoy it at the field.

Does it make it easier for you to settle because of your Serbian teammates?

Yes, of course. Nemanja Lakic-Pesic has been here for one year, he played the season before this and he made me feel better here and Nikola Krcmarevic came with me and three players from Serbia, that is very good for me.

Any more thoughts on your Serbian teammates?

Yes, they are very good guys you know and from Serbia. I played before for six years in one club in Serbia with Nikola Krcmarevic, I know him, and I met Nemanja Lakic-Pesic here in India and I enjoy with them.

Is this the perfect time to play FC Pune City?

No, this is not the perfect time because they have just one point and they don’t deserve that place because they have many good players and they are a very team you know and this is not a good time for our game but we come here and I believe in my team, I believe in my coach and we will give 100% to win.

Who do you think poses the biggest threat from FC Pune City?

Most dangerous players from FC Pune City are Marcelinho and Emiliano Alfaro. Those are the most dangerous players from FC Pune City.
