FC Pune City were completely outplayed by Kerala Blasters FC in the 2015 Hero Indian Super League on Wednesday evening. The table-toppers went into the match at Kochi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium as favourites but were taken unawares by a bottom-dwelling side and lost the match 2-0 thanks to goals from Chris Dagnall and Sanchez Watt. For Pune defender Nicky Shorey, who had provided three assists in his team’s win the last time these two teams met in late October, spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the match and expressed his disappointment. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Your thoughts on the match?Obviously, disappointed. We never really got into the game, to be honest. Probably, one of our poorest performances so far. We’ve got to make good of the game this Sunday [vs FC Goa]."We have to put our minds together and think."Nicky ShoreyThe goals conceded – were they easy? Or did they play well?Honestly, they had numerous chances today and could have easily scored more. So we really got away with a 2-0 score. What do you take away from this loss?We just need to regroup and realize that every game is going to be tough. We have to put our minds together and think.
