Mumbai City FC travel to Guwahati to face off against an in-form NorthEast United FC on Friday. The Highlanders are undefeated so far this season, but the Islanders, too, seem to have hit form after a rocky start, having won their last two matches in the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2018-19. With both teams looking to bag all three points from the encounter, we can expect a fiercely-contested match.

A day before the fixture, indiansuperleague.com caught up with Mumbai midfielder Sanju Pradhan to know his thoughts about the upcoming match-up. Here are the excerpts.

Thoughts on the season so far.

It has been a good season so far.  After six matches, we have good points. Our first match was not good, as our team is new, and they are still to know more about the format of the Hero ISL. We won the second match and then we got a confidence boost and now we have 10 points from six matches. We are at a good place in the table now.

Your personal goals this season.

My aim is to come in the top four. This is my second year with Mumbai City FC and they're like my family now. So, this year we would like to come in the top four anyhow. Last season, we had performed well but we lacked in some departments. This season our start is good, and we have good points as well. So, I feel we have a good chance this season.

On playing against NorthEast United FC.

See if we win, we go in the top four and as I said, there are many matches left. So, we can't decide now. The away match against NorthEast will be tough as they're playing well right now and they have many points from away games. They have won their away matches so they're confident and I feel their players are more confident as they won more matches. So, it will be a tough match.
