Anibal Rodriguez scored his second goal in Hero Indian Super League 2016 during FC Pune City’s 2-1 win over Atlético de Kolkata at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Balewadi on Sunday. Eduardo Ferreira headed the Stallions into the lead in the 41st minute before Rodriguez doubled the advantage from the spot 11 minutes after the break. ATK pulled one back through Iain Hume in the 69th minute but it wasn’t enough as Pune registered their first home win of the season. 33-year-old Rodriguez, who also had 33 touches of the ball and provided one key pass during the game, spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the win. Are you relieved to score from the penalty spot?I tried to hit the ball with power and the goalkeeper almost saved it but luckily it went into the goal.What do you think about Eduardo’s goal?In training he scored as well, and his contact with the ball from the cross was perfect.
