Delhi Dynamos may be known for playing a defensive game, but matches are always won by scoring goals. The club from the capital has seen quite a few strikes coming from their robust attacking squad. One such member of this squad is Robin Singh who, in his very first season of Hero Indian Super League (ISL), managed to score a goal on debut. In an exclusive interview with indiansuperleague.com, the well-built forward spoke his mind on their upcoming game against Chennaiyin FC. Here are a few excerpts:How happy are you with your performance so far in Hero ISL 2015? And how influential has Roberto Carlos been in your development? My job is to work hard in every game that I play and play with all my heart. As far as my performance is concerned, I'll let the critics answer that. Roberto Carlos has also helped me with my performance by fine-tuning it where I needed it, and I thank him for this.Delhi has won most of their games in the second half. Is there a strategy behind that? The strategy is to work hard for the entire stretch of 90 minutes. How important is this game (against Chennaiyin FC) for you?It is an important game for us as it will secure our spot for the semi-final playoff. It's going to be challenging as Chennaiyin FC are coming up after a big win. "The strategy is to work hard for the entire stretch of 90 minutes."Robin SinghConsidering the all-out attacking performance of Chennaiyin FC in the previous game, what are your plans to stop them? They'll definitely be high on confidence after their last game, but we will be working as a unit and working hard to get ourselves the three points that we need. As a forward yourself, what’s your take on Stiven Mendoza? Does Delhi have a plan to contain him?For Mendoza, there are no special plans; he's a great player but our defence is one of the strongest in the league, with Anas [Edathodika] and John [Arne Riise] leading by example. All said and done, I would like to congratulate Mendoza for all his goals and wish him all the best.
