Bengaluru FC take on Jamshedpur FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur on Sunday. The Blues, so far, have drawn both their matches in Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2019-20 and will be looking for their first victory of the campaign.

Speaking to indiansuperleague.com in an exclusive pre-match interview, Bengaluru FC defender Rahul Bheke shared his thoughts on the match. Here are excerpts from the interview.

Not the start Bengaluru FC would’ve expected. How is the team preparing for Jamshedpur?

Yeah, we didn't have a good start, but I think we are doing really good on the field. The results haven't gone our way but as a team we are playing good football. The only thing lacking is that we have to convert the chances we get into goals.

Does being defending champions put more pressure on Bengaluru FC?

I think it is normal in football that the defending champions have pressure. Among my teammates, I can't see anyone taking that pressure. Everyone is enjoying their football, doing well, playing good football, the way we did last year. We are just waiting for the moment. We just have to score the goals and get our first win.

How have the new signings settled in at Bengaluru FC?

Yes, we got a couple of good additions to the team. They are really doing good for the team and know the system now. They are playing according to the system, how the coach (Carles Cuadrat) wants them to play. You can see in the last two matches, the team is doing good, playing the way the coach wants to, I think they are helping the team a lot.

On lessons Bengaluru FC have learned from the FC Goa match.

I think we played according to how the coach wanted us to play. We did everything right, but we were unlucky, we conceded a penalty and that tends to happen with players as Ashique (Kuruniyan) is not playing in his original position, but that's how football is. I know he will learn from the mistakes. He is doing really good for the team playing in a new position. He is helping the team. As you've seen, against NorthEast (United FC) he did really well. Last match also (against FC Goa) he did well, only the one mistake was there, everything else was fine.

How Bengaluru FC are preparing for Jamshedpur FC?

Jamshedpur FC are doing really good. They won their two matches. Both were at home, their next match against us is also at home. They have the support from their fans, and we are here to register our first win, get our first three points. We are here, we will face them, and we will try our best to get the win.

Jamshedpur FC won both their matches at home, does it put Bengaluru FC under pressure?

Not really, because we know what our plan is for the match. In their two matches, everyone knows the possibilities of their players, their formation, so we are ready for it.
