Delhi Dynamos FC succumbed to their third straight Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 loss, as Izu Azuka’s header for Jamshedpur FC saw them secure a 1-0 win at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday. On a historical night for Jamshedpur where they registered their first Hero ISL victory, Delhi’s defence was exposed by the continuous onslaughts of their opponent. Speaking to indiansuperleague.com after the match was Delhi’s defender Pratik Chowdhary who shared his disappointments from the match. Here are the excerpts.
What are your thoughts on the match?
I am really disappointed with the loss because it’s now three in a row. It is not normal. We don’t deserve this. We are playing good football and we are keeping the ball well. We are dominating the game, but we are not able to finish. There is only one thing which we need to work on. We need to get to the ground and work harder. I feel that there is something missing. We are giving a 100 percent, but I still feel that there’s something lacking.
What are your thoughts on your own performance tonight?
Well, I can’t say I am happy because we have conceded a goal. I think I need to work a lot harder to keep a clean sheet and to help my team win.
Your thoughts on the free kick which led to the goal?
Another goal from a set piece. This is the third time that this is happening. It is really disappointing and we need to work harder to focus on set pieces and not concede any more goals.
