Botswana international Ofentse Nato has quickly established himself as a vital cog in Atlético de Kolkata’s midfield, having started in all of their five games. He put in another excellent performance against Kerala Blasters FC today, but hosts Kolkata were held by the spirited visiting side to a 1-1 draw. After the match, the 25-year-old caught up with www.indiansuperleague.com to share his thoughts on the game. Are you happy with the 1-1 result today?I’m happy with the result, but I’m not happy that we drew at home because the fans here expect all three points. We knew that it was going to be a difficult game. Kerala played really well so I’m happy with the result. What did you think about Baljit’s (Sahni) goal?I think it was a good goal. We really pressed and got the reward. It’s also one of the things we practise in training so it was a good goal. You all had to play with a lot of new players because of suspensions and injuries. Was it difficult to accommodate the new players? It wasn’t that difficult, because we train together every day. It wasn’t that bad in terms of understanding. How would you rate your opponents?I think they’re a good team; they play good football. But at the end of the day, it’s all about the results. There have been a lot of bookings in the past games. Do you think the team needs to play with a little more discipline?I don’t think it’s about discipline. I think it’s about the aggressiveness of the team and the way we play. Sometimes, with that aggression you pick up a lot of bookings because of the desire to win.Who did you miss, (Antonio) Habas on the bench or Fikru (Teferra) on the pitch?Well, we miss both of them because they are important members of the team. But I think that the players who came in did really well.
