Sony Norde made his first appearance for Mumbai City FC in the 2016 Hero Indian Super League against Atlético de Kolkata at the Mumbai Football Arena on Tuesday. The Haitian winger recently returned from national duty and came off the bench in the 67th minute during his side’s 1-1 draw with ATK. He looked lively in his short cameo for Mumbai and completed one take-on during his brief spell on the pitch. The 27-year-old winger spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the game and shared his thoughts on his first outing of Hero ISL 2016. Here are the excerpts from the interview. Two wins and one draw, how do you think the team is shaping up?It’s good for us. Most important is not to lose. Even one point is important for us as we have a long way to go. Playing against a team like this with 10 men is very difficult. So one point is good, not bad.You have two clean sheets so far and an unlucky deflection today, what do you have to say about that?Today we missed many chances but that is part of the game. Let’s hope for the best for the next game. You came off the bench today, how was the experience?Yes, it was good. I came from Haiti after an 18-hour flight so it was not easy to start the game. I thought I would not play today but our coach believed in me and gave me the opportunity to play. How important are fans to you? It’s good. It feels good to know the fans remember you. I am very thankful to them and I will give my best in every game for them.
