Bottom-placed Delhi Dynamos FC welcome Bengaluru FC in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Sunday. Nandhakumar Sekar has been one of the few shinning lights in an otherwise dismal campaign for Delhi and he will look to enhance his burgeoning reputation against the Blues. In an interview with indiansuperleague.com before the game, the youngster shared his thoughts on the season and the upcoming fixture. Here are the excerpts.

First season in the ISL for you, how has the experience been so far?

It’s very good. It’s a good experience. Very difficult to manage the way the coaches want us to play. (There is a) little bit of trouble there.

How much does a young player like you get to learn from playing under and alongside experienced coaches and players?

Yes. We have learnt a lot. It’s a new experience. Quality coaches, quality practice, how to play in matches, everything.

If there’s one Indian player you could have in your team, who would that be and why?

(Lallianzuala) Chhangte because he’s a good player.

Who according to you is the best foreign player in the league?

Miku.

What is the team doing when you’re not playing football?

In our off-time, we will make some fun games.

It’s been a rough season so far, what is your take on it?

We are playing good but need to score more. We will never up. We’ll take revenge.

How important does that make the remaining matches?

Yeah. Bengaluru is a good team. We’re also a good team. We will try to get the three points.
