High-flying Mumbai City FC play host to Kerala Blasters FC at the Mumbai Football Arena on Sunday in what will be the last Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) fixture of 2018. The match will be a perfect opportunity for the Islanders to cement their position in the top four and cut Bengaluru FC's lead at the top of the table to just three points.

Before the match, indiansuperleague.com interviewed Mumbai's top scorer Modou Sougou. Here's what he said.

What are your personal targets for the rest of the season?

I will not say personal target, but I can say it’s us, we have spirit as a team. For me, the most important thing is this. Everyone has to do their job and only then, we will achieve something. It’s true that the striker has to score, the defenders have to defend, but we also have to work together collectively. That's why I don’t put anything, especially in my mind. If I can score, it will be very good for me too, but I don’t say I will score 10 or 20. For me, the most important thing is to win the matches.

What is the reason for Mumbai City FC’s great run of form?

For me, we are doing something good but the league is not finished yet. It will be dangerous for us to do the count now, you know. We will do the count at the end and for us, we have to continue to progress as a team and take the matches one by one. Like this, we can achieve something. We have a lot of new players who were very important in the pre-season. They work hard, have good quality. For me, this is our secret and in that way, I can say we worked well.
