Two-time Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) champions, ATK host Jamshedpur FC at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan on Saturday. Antonio Habas’ charges have begun the season on a good note, winning two of their three matches so far.

New signing, Michael Soosairaj has been a major component in those successes and will be eager to maintain his form when he goes up against his former side. Ahead of the fixture, the winger spoke with indiansuperleague.com in an exclusive pre-match interview. Here are the excerpts:

What is the state of your injury, how is it right now?

I am perfectly alright, and I am looking forward to the game

After the first game in Kochi, how big was the away win in Chennai?

We learned from the mistakes we made in Kochi, we worked really hard for the Chennaiyin FC match, and we won.

Is it easier for you playing alongside David Williams and Roy Krishna?

Yes, it is easier for me. When they attack, the defenders get confused, in that time I get to go in between the defenders easily.

Any pressure knowing ATK are touted as favourites this season?

It is not a pressure for us. It is motivation. When you keep winning, you get a lot of confidence to play the upcoming matches, so it is a motivation for us.

On facing former club Jamshedpur FC?

I am happy to play against them. I had a great time at Jamshedpur FC. The people were awesome, I performed well there. Now I have signed with ATK, this is my team so I am looking forward to this game and we will try to win.
