FC Goa will hope to cement their place in the play-offs of the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) when they take on Delhi Dynamos on Monday. The Gaurs recently came on top against a strong Mumbai City side, thus putting them in pole position to qualify.

Prior to the match against Delhi, Mandar Rao Dessai spoke exclusively to indiansuperleague.com on his thoughts for the remainder of the season. Here are the excerpts:

How has the team used the break?

Yes, we’ve been training as we do always and performing. We were waiting for a good start in the new year and we drew against Jamshedpur FC and won against Mumbai City FC so now we’re looking forward to Delhi Dynamos FC.

What do you think of FC Goa’s top four chances?

Yes, we are not looking for the other teams’ results we are just focusing on our results and focusing on each and every match so as I told you, Delhi Dynamos FC now and we will play and give our best and see how the result goes.

Any message for the FC Goa travelling support?

Yes, a lot of fans have been travelling all over India and supporting us, I think it’s a great thing because it’s not easy for the fans to travel so far but they’re trying their best and coming so far to support us, so we play for the fans and everyone so it’s good.
